natashka's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- things heat up for spring i'm steamed. i deposited a check my mom sent, and the bank, AFTER i had signed it, informed me that it would take two weeks to release funds because it's drawn on a foreign account. idiots. THEN they told me i'd be better off using a larger institution like US Bank for this kind of transaction. way to hang on to your business. anyway... i feel tired right now. i've been crapping out early lately and feeling less than energetic. i know part of it is not enough exercise (paradoxically enough) but i'm still psyching myself up for the big day. i'm really afraid of those people. tonight i'll settle for a cup of coffee and some snugglins with the mick. did i mention that he did the sweetest thing last weekend? he bought me a book on gardening. it's steve solomon's growing vegetables west of the cascades. i highly recommend it for anyone who gardens in the pacific northwest. solomon taught the urban farm course at the university for almost two decades and recently moved to australia. anyway...i paid part of my electric bill because i can never afford to pay all of it during winter, and checked out their brochures for cheaper ways to heat my place. i have small rooms that would benefit from an oil filled space heater, so i'm going to buy one next year. the weather is already warming up so there's no need for one now. school is good. i need to get back to work...so it's nap, dinner, and then mega coffee for me. the parents are coming to visit. like a dumbass i invited them to come when i present my paper in two weeks. let's hope it goes well... 5:42 p.m. - 2002-03-05 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
